TYR
The Cloud Power Tool
Terms of Service
Last update / Effective date: 05-SEP-2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TYR mobile application and related services ("TYR", "the Service"), developed and operated by FluxThoughts, CVR 27665020, Denmark ("we", "us", "our").
By creating an account or using TYR, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What TYR is
TYR is a file-management power tool. It connects to a cloud storage account (currently Google Drive), builds an index of that account's file and folder metadata, and lets you browse, filter, and perform bulk updates on that metadata — including renaming files and editing descriptions, starred status, and custom properties — at your direction.
TYR is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC or Apple Inc.
2. Your Account
To use TYR you must sign in with a supported identity provider (currently Google). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your own accounts and devices. You must be at least 13 years old to use TYR.
You may delete your TYR account at any time from within the app. There is a 30-day grace period, during which you can cancel the deletion by signing back in. Removal is carried out after it, by a process that runs once an hour — so it follows the end of the grace period rather than completing within it. Everything that identifies you is deleted; anonymous records that cannot be traced back to you are kept. Both are described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Your Cloud Storage and Your Responsibility
TYR acts with the authority of the Google account that completed Google's consent screen — which need not be the account you signed in with. Signing in to TYR and connecting a cloud to it are separate acts, and any TYR user may connect any Google Drive they have access to, including their own. Whichever account granted access, every change TYR makes is made as that account, with its permissions, and appears in Google Drive as its changes.
TYR performs operations on files reachable through the connected cloud account — and only at your instruction. Depending on how files and folders are shared, this can include files owned by that account, files it owns that are located in folders owned by others, and files owned by others that are shared with it. When you run an update, you are instructing TYR to modify the metadata of the files you selected.
If the connected Drive is not yours, Section 13 of this document and Section 12 of the Privacy Policy are addressed to its owner.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- You are responsible for the operations you run. TYR executes the changes you configure. Review the preview and confirmation screens before applying updates.
- Files can live in other people's cloud storage. Files the connected account owns may be located in folders owned by someone else (for example, when files are added to a folder shared with it). The owner of a file can generally edit it regardless of where it is located, but the folder's owner controls that folder — including access rights within it and the folder's continued existence. TYR shows each file's owner and cloud location to help you keep the overview.
- Shared files affect others. If you edit a file that is shared with the connected account but owned by someone else, the change affects the owner's file. TYR surfaces ownership information to help you make informed decisions, but the decision is yours.
- Rollback is provided on a best-effort basis. TYR keeps an encrypted record of applied changes so you can undo a bulk update. Rollback may not be possible where files have been changed, moved, or deleted outside TYR after the original operation, or where the cloud provider rejects the reversal.
- TYR depends on third-party services. The Service requires the availability and correct functioning of your cloud provider's systems (e.g. the Google Drive API). We are not responsible for outages, errors, limits, or changes on the provider's side.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use TYR to violate any law, or to infringe the rights of others;
- use TYR on cloud accounts or files you are not authorised to access;
- attempt to probe, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service, its servers, or its security measures;
- resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties as your own offering;
- use automated means to access the Service other than through the app itself.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Subscriptions and Payment
TYR offers paid subscription tiers, as listed in the app and the App Store, at the price shown there, as auto-renewing subscriptions purchased through Apple In-App Purchase. There is also a free tier.
- Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- Managing and cancelling. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings (Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple, and refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple's terms. We do not receive or store your payment card details. If Apple grants a refund, the account returns to the free tier immediately, rather than at the end of the period that was refunded. Usage already spent in that period is not restored.
- Price changes. If the subscription price changes, Apple will notify you in accordance with its policies, and where required will ask for your consent before charging the new price.
- Free tier and trials. We may offer a free tier or trial periods. The features included in free and paid tiers may change over time (see Section 7).
6. Intellectual Property
TYR, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by FluxThoughts and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on your own devices for its intended purpose. Your files and their content remain entirely yours — these Terms grant us no ownership of your data. We process your data only as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Changes to the Service
We actively develop TYR. Features may be added, changed, moved between tiers, or removed. Where a change materially reduces the core functionality of a paid tier during a period you have already paid for, we will use reasonable efforts to inform you in advance by email to the address on your account and by a dated notice on this page.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every operation (including rollback) will succeed in all circumstances.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory provisions of applicable law, including Danish and EU consumer law.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of data caused by operations you instructed, loss of profits, or losses arising from third-party services (including your cloud provider);
- our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid to us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (including liability for gross negligence or intent).
10. Termination
You may stop using TYR and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, Sections 6, 8, 9, and 11 survive.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. Disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts of Denmark, unless mandatory law provides you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will email the address on your account and post a dated notice on this page, and we will update the "Last update / Effective date" at the top. Continued use of TYR after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. If Someone Has Connected Your Google Drive to TYR
This section is addressed to you if you are the owner of a Google Drive that has been connected to TYR — whether or not you use TYR yourself. You may be reading it from the consent screen Google showed you before you granted access.
Signing in to TYR and connecting a cloud to TYR are two different acts. Someone signs in with a Google account. That gives them a TYR account. It does not connect any Drive. Separately, a Google Drive is connected — and that is the grant that lets TYR read and change files. Any TYR user may connect any Google Drive they can get access to, including their own. The two are often the same person, and need not be.
If you granted access to your Drive, TYR acts as you. Changes made through TYR to files in that Drive are made with your permissions and appear in Google Drive as your changes, whoever asked for them. That is how Google's delegated access works.
You can withdraw that access yourself, at any time, without the TYR user's involvement and without having a TYR account. In your Google Account's security settings, open the list of third-party apps and services with access to your account, select TYR, and remove its access. Google revokes it immediately. That stops all future access at once. It does not, by itself, delete the index of your Drive already stored on our servers, and it does not undo changes already made — to have what we hold erased, email tyr@fluxthoughts.com.
What TYR holds about you, what it does not, and your rights over it are set out in Section 12 of the Privacy Policy, which is addressed to you in the same way. Those rights are yours directly; you do not need to go through the TYR user to exercise them.
